DGM HQ.
Alone in the office! Usually, I would have left DGM for Bredonborough on an early Friday evening, dribbling pitifully, chewed up & spat out following a week of cruel stuff, industry opacity & evasion & dissension. Today, I will be driving to London to meet the Minx, returned from her first day of filming
The Power Of Three. This week has been a week of future-arrivings, future choices, a movement towards resolution of the Sanctuary UMG dispute, and a revisiting of much of my earlier life & the characters that influenced it.
12.03 In the morning post, a royalty statement from Virgin EMI marked current operation for a pitiful sum on sales of Cirkus: Young Person’s Guide To King Crimson in the period July – December 2008 in Russia.
What! I might hear the innocent regular DGM visitor expostulating. Why would Virgin EMI be sending you royalty statements for any material when their licence expired 5 years & 3 months ago? That’s a better question for Virgin EMI than a mere Venal Leader.

17.45 Lotso gigabytes of back-up material & archiving, a day at the computers. If a weekday at DGM, with the press of distraction, most of this would not have happened.

23.45 Chateau de la Minx, Chiswick.
From DGM HQ to Chiswick, via Romain’s Emporium of Delights & Wonder. Mr. Romain celebrated his 80th. birthday on Thursday. He looks in better shape than I do.
The Minx will be back from filming very late.
